I came to coaching looking for professional development and to help me navigate leaving the career field I worked my entire life for. I wasn’t looking for my dream job, rather I was running away from it.
I didn’t realize how much of a mess my mental state was or how burnt out I was feeling. I wasn’t looking to get deep into things with coaching. For me it was just to hit on surface level things.
However, over more and more sessions, I was able to talk with Sean about things I never even touched on with my therapist. Nothing ever felt forced. Creating a safe space comes with ease for him even when talking about tough or uncomfortable topics.
I may have been looking for career help but I didn’t realize how badly I needed burnout recovery until I found myself slowly healing with more time. I learned how to validate my feelings, be nicer to myself, and reprioritize my interests to shape the future I want for myself.
I am truly thankful for our sessions together and the personal/mental growth that I got out of coaching!
